I attended a car show filled with stunning 1950s vehicles, and I was captivated by the beauty of their shapes and lines. It was there that I took my very first photograph. My older brother played a significant role in nurturing my growing passion for photography. By the time I was young, I already had my own darkroom, and at 16, I knew without a doubt that this was what I wanted to pursue as a career.
After completing the Fotovakschool in The Hague, I secured my first internship with Dirk Karsten, a highly regarded advertising photographer. This experience taught me the authentic craftsmanship of the profession. Shortly after, I launched my own photography business and quickly landed Nike as a client. For the past 20 years, I’ve been operating from my photography studio in Amsterdam.
